Buried from his own home nr Torrington's Dam.Age at death: 32

It was common for Cornish miners who died overseas to be remembered on family gravestones in Cornwall.Johnson, the youngest brother of Thomas and Charles is commemorated on a memorial stone in Leekside Memorial Chapel. He died in 1897 in the Transvaal.
